Logic Gates
I. Introduction to Logic Gates
Our
boy needs different nutrients in order to function normally. We need different
minerals, vitamins, proteins and many others for us to sustain our life. They
are considered to be the building blocks of life. Also, in electronics, there
are known to be the building blocks of digital circuit. They are called as
logic gates.
II. Definition of Logic Gates
Logic
gates are widely used in different devices in order to function. They are
composing of integrated circuits like the combination of transistors, resistors,
capacitors and any other elements. They are widely used in various computers.
III. Types of Logic Gates
1. NOT Gate
This is a gate that has one input and
one output. This is known to be an inverter hence it gives an output which is
exactly opposite to the input.
2. AND Gate
3. OR Gate
This
gate would give high output when one of the inputs is high. Also, the high
output could be attained when all of the inputs are high.
4. NOR Gate
5. NAND Gate
This would give high output when both inputs are not in the same value.
7. XNOR Gate
IV. Application
Logic
gates are widely used in computers and any other devices.
